Compact Turrets

This modifies the bounding box of the vanilla Large Gatling Turret and Large Missile Turret from 3x3x3 to 1x2x1, allowing blocks to be placed next to them.

It **intends** to replace the vanilla turrets, meaning that you should only find one copy of the Large Gatling Turret and the Large Missile Turret in the G-menu. Furthermore, it means that blueprints that were not made with this mod active will end up without said turrets on spawn. That includes NPCs, copy-paste, and projectors. Simply fix these blueprints in creative mode with the mod activated.

I recommend using half-blocks next to these turrets, instead of full-blocks.

2019-10-09: I went back to school to get a bachelor degree in computer science and automation, and will therefore be busy in the years to come. I encourage you to make changes to this mod and upload your version of it, as you see fit. This mod should be located in your AppsData with your other Space Engineers files, and the name of the mod should be its identification number: 1179523215, which you can read in the url of this page. The file is zipped using a custom format, but by changing its filename to ".rar" you should be able to unzip it using Winrar. Modding this mod only requires you to understand a modicum of XML. Beware, however, that some of the less intellectually fortunate in this community tend to search through people's workshops just to make up excuses to report their work. Ignore them, and try to enjoy yourself. The most important thing about modding is not to create something original, but to learn from it.
