Daya's Lightweight Inventory Sorter script v1.3 Details will be in the Discussions pages for this script!
Originally designed specifically for lightweight performance impact on limited hardware or Linux like hosted servers. The script is now capable of handling most of the logistic network. There are some limits after all.
--Okay what is "DLIS" DLIS is a two stage inventory manager, built for low server performance impact. The primary sort will never move things out of valid storage locations to other valid locations. This is what lets a docked ship keep their cargo bins from being emptied when using primary sorting tags. eg [Ingots] or [Components]
The second stage is the DLISFetch & DLISPurge systems. these are for loading and unloading specialty containers. Like the construction materials bin on a construction ship.. or your refineries when you want them to do specifics.. Don't use primary tags for these, just the custom data ones.
=== SYSTEM INVENTORY OVERVIEW === Runs automatically every 16 seconds. Supports Multi-Tags: [Ingots][ Ores] Not comma friendly, sorry.
== CARGO VAULT TAGS == [Component] - Tools & Grid Parts [Ore] - Raw Mining Materials [Ingot] - Refined Processing Metals [Food] - Consumable Rations [Seed] - Hydroponic Farm Crops [Gravel] - For Gravel handling functions! [Medical] - Medical supply storages. [Equipment] - Also does [tools] [weapons] [Overflow] - Things go here instead of other boxes when they're full. Warning : do not name your overflow container just [Overflow], need to have 'cargo' on it EG: "Cargo Container [Overflow]"
=== VEHICLE LOGISTICS === [Dump] - Always Clear this block's storage, EG on Miner Cockpit/Connector
=== SAFETY BYPASS === !manual - Put anywhere in block name. Script completely ignores block. No brackets. Use the manual tag if you want to use that blocks auto pull/push features instead. This should respect all lower case, though it probably looks better with the first letter capital.
=== LCD Configuration === LCDs will now display Fill levels based on tags you give to its custom data.
1. Terminal Naming: Add '[DLISLCD]' to any LCD panel's block name.
2. Custom Data Settings: Open the block's Custom Data box and paste your lookup targets line-by-line:
[Component] [Ore] [Ingot] [Food] [Seed] [Medical] [Equipment] [Overflow]
Be warned, do not over use tags, the script has to go through every tag, so if you have dozens of tags just to keep something empty, it may cost you server performance when this has to go through them all. !manual is excluded from this as its ignored.
===Fetch System & Purge === This is a Custom Data tag method to restock a cargo bin with materials that you can configure. The Purge system is meant to clean out those same bins of extras un-wanted items. This System now works with Refineries!
Construction Vehicle Example:: [DLISFetch] SteelPlate=500 Construction=200 Motor=100 Computer=50 BulletproofGlass=150
Refinery Example 1: [DLISFetch] Stone=20000 [DLISPurge]
Refinery Example 2: [DLISFetch] Stone=20000 IronOre=10000 NickelOre=5000 SiliconOre=5000 [DLISPurge]
Notes: No spaces! Be specific, if you do just 'plates' you may be in for issues. it is 'not' case sensitive
=== Refinery Management === Refineries will run smarter now, they'll maintain a minimum level of ingots! They will prioritize to more valuable ores when your minimum levels are met. If you run any kind of automated construction, this will help greatly, no more shuffling ores to get something crafted faster. Speed of refineries being the limit here, so if you want minimum levels faster, get more Refineries.
=== Troubleshooting === During Development I found a few key issues in the game with how scripts operate, and instead of getting crazy and forcing my way around them I opted to keep this light and simple. I will however explain what breaks the script from what I know during said testing.
Modded Conveyors can outright break any script calls to pull items through them! I spent a few hours chasing this down, I had routed storages through a mod's assembler and that broke it. This should also apply to things like the Build and Repair blocks, treat them as 'End Point' devices!
The Assemblers don't fully clear out! That is actually a game feature, they maintain a minimal level of materials in them, not a script bug. It should be something small.
Server performance hits when using excessive tagging is a thing, it will hit during the 16second rescan phase. Do try and avoid tagging a bunch of stuff [Dump] for example. You can set things to !manual however and those are ignored.
