ECHELON TECHNOLOGIES

Advanced technology. Greater power. Greater consequences.

Echelon Technologies is a T1–T7 progression mod focused on advanced engineering, custom resources, corruption, dangerous environments, and late-game risk/reward systems.

Our goal is not simply to create stronger vanilla blocks.

We are building a connected technology ecosystem where increasingly powerful equipment introduces new problems that players must engineer around.

More power. More corruption. More risk.

TECHNOLOGY PROGRESSION

Echelon technology progresses through seven tiers:

 • T1 — Improved
 • T2 — Uncommon
 • T3 — Rare
 • T4 — Elite
 • T5 — Exotic
 • T6 — Prototype
 • T7 — Legendary

Supported systems include:

 • Power generation and storage
 • Production
 • Cargo
 • Jump systems
 • Ore detection
 • Gyroscopes
 • Thrusters
 • Advanced utility systems

Higher tiers become increasingly powerful, expensive, and dangerous to operate.

ECHELON PRODUCTION

The Echelon Tech Fabricator is the dedicated production block for Echelon technology.

Progression uses custom resources and components including:

 • Titanium
 • Veyrium
 • Echelonite
 • Echelon Fuel
 • Echelon Tech Cores
 • Advanced Echelon components

Mine → Refine → Fabricate → Build → Manage the consequences

CUSTOM ARMOR

Titanium Armor Lighter advanced armor for builds where mass and mobility remain important.

Veyrium Armor Heavier advanced armor intended for stronger protection and high-end combat constructs.

Echelon armor is designed with WeaponCore environments in mind.

WEAPONCORE + DEFENSE SHIELDS

Echelon Technologies includes support for:

 • WeaponCore
 • Defense Shields

Corruption, weather, and environmental systems can interact with advanced combat ships through effects such as:

 • EMP disruption
 • Shield penetration
 • Environmental damage
 • Corruption-based hazards

Neither mod is required to run Echelon Technologies.

CORRUPTION LOAD

Advanced Echelon technology generates Corruption Load.

Constructs progress through:

 • Stable
 • Elevated
 • Unstable
 • Severe
 • Critical

Higher corruption can lead to:

 • Equipment malfunctions
 • Grid damage
 • EMP disruption
 • Environmental hazards
 • Greater engineering risk

The stronger the technology you install, the more carefully your construct must be designed and managed.

CORRUPTION STABILIZER

The Echelon Corruption Stabilizer reduces Corruption Load at the cost of significant power and advanced components.

Stabilizer protection is local, meaning placement matters.

High-tier systems outside effective Stabilizer coverage may remain exposed to corruption effects.

PLANETARY DISTURBANCE

Heavy mining on the Echelon planet can increase Planetary Disturbance.

Disturbance progresses through:

 • Calm
 • Unstable
 • Hostile
 • Severe
 • Critical

As Disturbance rises, the planet can become more dangerous through:

 • More severe weather
 • Stronger environmental effects
 • Increased storm consequences
 • Optional hostile NPC responses

If mining activity stops, Disturbance can gradually decay.

The more aggressively you exploit the planet, the harder it pushes back.

DANGEROUS WEATHER

Echelon includes custom weather such as:

 • Echelon Rain
 • Fog
 • Light Thunderstorms
 • Electrical Storms
 • Corruption Storms

Dangerous storms can affect players, grids, shields, and advanced systems.

Environmental effects can include:

 • Electrical damage
 • Corruption damage
 • Temporary block instability
 • EMP-style disruption

STORM HARVESTING

Electrical and Corruption Storms can also be exploited.

Storm Harvesting uses:

 • Storm Intake Vent — captures Storm Gas
 • Storm Tank — stores Storm Gas
 • Storm Processor — converts Storm Gas into Echelon Fuel Ore

Storm Tanks can become increasingly unstable when heavily filled or damaged.

This creates a risk/reward choice:

Avoid the storm, or build infrastructure designed to profit from it.

Some harvesting blocks currently use temporary models.

OPTIONAL ECHELON ENCOUNTERS ADDON

Echelon Technologies includes an optional NPC-response system linked to Planetary Disturbance.

At higher Disturbance levels, hostile encounters can be requested through Modular Encounters Systems.

Encounter tiers include:

 • Unstable — Scouts / Survey groups
 • Hostile — Interceptors / Patrols
 • Severe — Heavy Patrols / Strike Groups
 • Critical — Elite / Hunter responses

The encounter content is provided by the separate:

Echelon Encounters

addon.

Requirements for NPC responses:

 • Echelon Technologies
 • Modular Encounters Systems
 • Echelon Encounters

MES and Echelon Encounters are optional.

Without them, the rest of Echelon Technologies continues to work normally.

Current encounter ships are temporary placeholders while the full Echelon fleet is developed.

CUSTOM PLANET

Echelon Technologies includes a custom 120 km Echelon planet built around the progression and corruption systems.

Features include:

 • Corrupted regions
 • Custom terrain
 • Mountains and valleys
 • Canyon networks
 • Large buildable plains
 • Ice lakes
 • Corruption veins
