GearMod

Hello everyone, first upload on mod.io and second iteration of my gear blocks mod.

I'll both update this mod and the main one on the Steam Workshop: Gear Mod

The mod adds a set of blocks that allow you to build gear systems in Space Engineers.

CURRENT BLOCKS:

• Gear 3x3x1 15 teeth
• Gear 1x1x1 5 teeth
• Gear Rail 1x3x1 4 teeth
• Gear Pinion

• Module 0.06m blocks:

• Gear 1x1x1 8 teeth Spur.
• Gear 3x3x1 24 teeth Spur. (split in two parts: Base, Top)
• Gear 5x5x1 40 teeth Spur. (split in two parts: Base, Top)
• Gear 1x1x1 8 teeth Bevel. (connect to the same gear)
• Gear 1x1x1 8to24 teeth Bevel. (connect to 24to8 teeth spur)
• Gear 3x3x1 24to8 teeth Bevel. (connect to 8to24 teeth spur, split in two parts: Base, Top)
• Gear 1x3x1 8 teeth Rack.
• Gear 10cm Beam.
• Gear 10cm Linear Bearing (Pseudo)

• Module 0.30m blocks:

• Gear 1x1x1 8 teeth Spur.
• Gear 3x3x1 24 teeth Spur. (split in two parts: Base, Top)
• Gear 5x5x1 40 teeth Spur. (split in two parts: Base, Top)
• Gear 1x3x1 8 teeth Rack.
• Gear 10cm Beam.
• Gear 10cm Linear Bearing (Pseudo)

All the gears in the same section are compatible with each other, different sections aren't. They aren't too tight as you'd expect from real world gears, but they do their job. The second and third group, Module 0.06m and 0.30m, is modeled after actual gear math, and they are tigther than their predecessors. They have working collision models and are paintable too. They have LODs and building stages, fully survival compatible and hopefully performance friendly.
