The force it applies to your construct is proportional to its mass. It doesn't matter if your build is heavy; it will apply the necessary force to the grid it is attached to.
However, if the anchor is on a subgrid, make sure Share Inertia Tensor is enabled to share the mass. Otherwise, the anchor will only apply force based on the mass of that specific subgrid, which may not be enough for your entire build.
