Multi-Junction Cell Requires: Assembler 6 Silicon, 1 Cobalt, 1 Gold and 1 Platinum Ingots
Do you want to go green, but all you see is blue? Are you tired of using boring old polycrystalline silicon solar cells from the late 20th century? Well here at AVTech may have the solution for you! We looked into patents from the 21st century to bring you superior sun shine soakers! Our researchers spent the better part of a week searching through Wikipedia to find these gems.
Introducing High Tech Solar Arrays, a new way to drain that nearby star of it's clean fusion power. Thin film, doped photovoltaic (PV) cells arranged in a sleek "futuristic" housing. These are solar panels you'll want to show the sun!
You may be asking yourself, "How do we get our current assemblers to manufacture such delicate hardware such as Multi-Junction, metal doped silicon, thin film solar cells?" First I would respond, how astute of you to recognize the design of these PV cells. But to answer the question, with great difficulty.
The 3D printers that come in your survival kits have absolutely no chance of producing these. Try as we might, there was just nothing we could do with the cells from that device. The Basic Assembler was capable of producing a thin film PV cell, but it was unable to properly layer them to make cells with more than one type. However through the dedication of a few of our researchers (and a few labs and people coated in thin film PV material) the full Assembler is capable of producing the most complex of our PV cells.
