Description

As the Europan Conflict escalated, the Phoenix Republic began to deploy it's Sabiroid Frigate to the surface. This vessel was not only a capable warship, but also served as excellent propaganda for the Republic, allowing it's leaders to portray the war as sweet revenge for the scuttling terror visited upon Titan by House Verhoven. The Sabiroid became a symbol of their righteousness, raining death upon Eridani and Tokugawa fortifications and vehicles. Republic propaganda portrayed CEU troops as running in fear from it's wrath and claimed that the Alliance would soon surrender, but Ceres is not so easily cowed.

When rumours of this new vessel reached the Belt, the Council wasted no time in commissioning a vessel that could not only stand up to the Sabiroid, but destroy the illusion of CEU weakness. Backed by the vast wealth of the Belt, Hyperion Systems engineers worked around the clock and in only a few months the Council was presented with the Cougar Atmospheric Hunter Killer Corvette.

Known affectionately by CEU Marines as the “Bughunter”, the Cougar is more than a match for it's rival. Twice as fast, with significantly better handling characteristics and considerably more forward facing firepower, Cougars have scored a impressive number of confirmed Sabiroid kills. Twin AGASP Launchers allow the Cougar to engage it's rival at long range and it's powerful engines can close the distance quickly so it's forward facing Rocket Launchers can enact a heavy toll. Since it's deployment the Republics strategy regarding Sabiroid deployment has become significantly less aggressive, allowing Alliance troopers to retake lost ground.

Despite the Cougar's excellent qualities against other, similar sized vessels, the CEU Navy has noted the Sabiroid has better capabilities against smaller ground craft and it's drone carrying capacity makes the vessel less vulnerable to air attacks than the Cougar. Hyperion Systems continues to work on new vessels, as the Europan Conflict shows no signs of ending any time soon.

Instructions

• Use Button 1 to fire missiles DO NOT FIRE WHILE MOVING
• Use Button 2 to reload missiles DO NOT RELOAD WHILE MOVING
• Use Button 3 to view targeting camera
