About Boosted Tools & Ore Detectors
From mod.ioThis mod is meant to replace the need for models to help console mod management. this mod includes updated ranged for both large and small blocks including DLC blocks.
This mod upgrades the stock ship tools and ore detector to deliver the kind of range and efficiency usually found in heavy PC mods, but without the large file size or custom models. It’s built specifically for console players who want stronger tools without sacrificing performance, memory, or stability.
Tool Range Improvements:

Grinder range increased Boosted to 5× the vanilla distance

Welder range increased Boosted to 5× the vanilla distance

Drill range massively increased Boosted to 15× the vanilla distance
Ore Detector Enhancements:

Small Grid: 250 m detection range

Large Grid: 1.2 km detection range
These upgrades make building, grinding, welding, mining, and resource locating far more efficient — especially on larger ships where the default ranges feel restrictive. The goal is to give console players the same quality‑of‑life improvements PC players enjoy, without the performance hit.
DLC Compatibility: All boosted ranges apply to both vanilla and DLC tool variants, ensuring consistent performance no matter which packs you own.
Tested on PS5 — other consoles should work, but are not yet verified.
