Why wait for a battery to recharge when you could just swap a power core?

Introducing the Modular Powercore Battery

The modular powercore battery system has been designed to allow quick exchange of power between grids by simply swapping out an empty powercore from it's frame with a charged one. No additional charging time, no inter-grid connection necessary and you are ready to go on in merely seconds.

How it works?

Craft powercore modules from the equipment tab in your assembler and put them into a modular powercore frame, either placed on your base or your vehicle. If a module runs out of power, simply remove the discharged powercore module from the frame and replace it with a new one.

Powercore frames work exactly like batteries, so you can set them to auto, recharge and discharge and they will behave accordingly. The frames are available for large and for small grid.

Example applications

• Recharge your vehicles faster by just swapping out power cores instead of loading batteries
• Keep charged modules as a backup when in need of emergency power, be it for your base or to extend your mission time
• Transport power cells to outposts that cannot be connected directly

Known issues

The two known issues - powercell modules disappearing from inventory and the lagging subparts have been fixed by Keen Software House in the economy 2 update. Thank you very much for this!
