[Obsolete] Tank Explosions

Latest update makes exploding tanks vanilla

Looks like they realized the popularity of exploding tanks, frankly, that's pretty sweet. Was a good run, thanks everyone for the gratitude, see you in my next mod, and have a great one.

Tank Explosions

This mod adds scaling explosions to gas tanks. This includes Oxygen, Hydrogen, custom gases, vanilla and modded.

The explosion scales based on the current gas stored in the tank, along with shrapnel based around the remaining health of the tank.

Tanks explode when damaged beyond functional and damage is not done by a grinder. So collisions, meteors, warheads, heating from an atmospheric drag mod. Anything but disassemble will set gas tanks off.

Recent update

• Not all tanks explode now. Tanks will either vent gas applying force to the tanks grid at the tanks position, or they will explode based on damage vs remaining health of the tank.
• Base damage of a tank is reduced massively.
• Tanks now get a large damage buff when in an oxygenated environment. (this includes pressurized rooms)

Features for next update!

• Detection of gas energy conversion amount, and scale explosions off that. This will make oxygen not explode, but instead apply a massive impulse to the tanks grid.

Troubleshooting

If you experience a crash, or cannot tank explosions, please provide me with a description of what you are doing, and a world file so that I can replicate the issue. If you do not provide a world file and a description, I will not assist you! You can provide the world by opening the load save screen, then clicking the world you wish to share, and then clicking publish.

IMPORTANT If you have any issue with the mod, Please do the following:

• Close Space Engineers.
• Unsubscribe from the mod.
• Restart Space Engineers. Let it load to the menu screen, then close it.
• Resubscribe to the mod.
• Restart Space Engineers.
• Start your world with the mod in the list.

Appears to happen to about one in every 10 or 11 downloads, and there is nothing I can do about it. :-/

Maths

G = Gas stored in L
Gr = Gas stored ratio (1 = full, 0 = empty)
I = Integrity Remaining.
D = Explosion Damage
R = Explosion Radius

D = (G / 4) + (I * Gr / 2)
R = D / 2000

IF D < 1000 THEN cancel explosion

Above is not code synthax.

There is a cap to how much damage a single tank will do though. This is because SE has crashed on my rig at anything higher than the cap.
