PFI Chariot Class Light Freighter

PFI Presents: The first of her line, the MV - Gryphon The Chariot Class Light Freighter is a light cargo transport capable of single-stage-to-orbit launches from the surfaces of most planets (max 1G) with a full cargo load. Unladen, a Chariot Class vessel is capable of a jump range of approximately 7,000 km; at a full load, a Chariot class vessel has a jump range of just under 4,000 km. Designed with minimal crew in mind, the Chariot Class Freighter was designed to be crewed by a single pilot/engineer. With a generous cargo capacity and on-board production facilities, a Chariot can serve as either a fleet tender, or the seed for a colony.

Technically an iteration on the old PFI Farren class of exploration vessels, the Chariot Class Freighters embrace modernity, functionality, and ease of repair. Accessible via exterior hatches beneath the crew areas, all major components of the ship can be accessed from the catwalks laid throughout the craft for maintenance or upgrades. The crew cabin is a spartan affair with facilities for food preparation, hygiene, rest, and medical care.
