Planet Selene

Since Space Mining Universal's incursioning in comercial space ship design, the company has been settling new horizons for the industry. SMU has established an exploration division with the sole purpose of finding planets, plausible for huge mining operations, for our clients.

Planet Selene is located in the Oen3 Star System in the Julius Formation at the very fringes of the galaxy. Selene is a Mars sized planet but with a super dense rocky metal core, thick atmosphere and high gravity. The main factor that contributes to the planet's high gravity of 2.1 Gs is a nearby Singularity (black hole). Selene's highly dense and toxic atmosphere is mainly composed out of chlorine, ammonia and a few other gases making it a hazardous planet. Despite its harsh environment Selene is a planet rich in mineral ores. SMU satellites have detected several highly valuable big ore deposits which will make the exploitation of the planet very rewarding.
