PROJECTOR+ API 3.0
A lightweight script extender that gives Programmable Blocks greater access to Projector and Console Block functions.
To be frank, enough simply isn't being done with projectors. The fact that the typical use of a projection is just to weld it, is like if holograms were only used for Hatsune Miku concerts. Now don't get me wrong, most of the lack of creativity with projections comes from lack of access. WELL NO MORE!

WHAT'S NEW IN 3.0
- BuildProjection -- build and edit projections in memory. Add, remove, move, rotate, or replace the blocks themselves, without a single blueprint!
- Custom patterns and gradients -- set RGB or HSV colors per block and create your own patterns through C#. This replaces the old rainbow:x/y/z presets.
- Choose the grid to display! -- select the grid displayed in a multi-grid blueprint!
- Small and large grid projections -- choose the projection's grid size independently of the projector's own grid size. Yes, large-grid blocks on a small-grid projector and vice-versa.
- Layering -- display sections along X, Y, or Z, either alone or stacked.
- Save a new blueprint -- save projections as new blueprints!
AND EVERYTHING ELSE
- Blueprint loading and switching -- load local blueprints by name or file path from scripts.
- Projection controls -- scale, rotation, and transform/offset controls.
- Instantly weld projections -- self explanatory (disabled by default)
- Projected-grid inspection -- search blocks, read counts and positions. you can also search for groups of blocks or specific blocks by type, subtype, definition, custom name, or grid position.
- Buildability queries -- identify which projected blocks can be built and which are blocked.
- Blueprint styling -- recolor or change the material of blocks in a live projection without changing the original blueprint file.
- Layered styles -- build cumulative looks. For example, coloring an entire projection red and then highlighting selected blocks in yellow.
- Multiplayer support -- Projector calls are handled authoritatively by the host or server.
- Console Block support -- allows for smoother animations and effects
liek the previous release 3.0 also comes with a collection of separate, out the box workshop scripts.
- Projector+ API Starter Scripts Each script includes a simple TUNERS section for easy setup, and customization.
--BEFORE GOING FURTHER, THE DISCUSSIONS TAB INCLUDES THE README AND OTHER RELEVANT INFO--
The complete setup guide, API reference, wrapper class, multiplayer notes, examples, search syntax, and troubleshooting guide are available in:
- The README.txt packaged with the mod
- The README in the Discussions tab on this workshop page
Custom Programmable Block scripts must include the supplied ProjectorPlusApi wrapper class. If you are using one of the companion scripts below, it is already included.
PROJECTOR+ WORKSHOP SCRIPTS
- Projection Switch Script -- load blueprints
- Projection Buildability Scanner Script -- report buildable and blocked blocks
- Projection Inspector Script -- inspect counts and search projected grids
- Projection Viewer Script -- browse projections and individual blocks
- Projection Style Tool -- recolor, reskin, and style blueprints
- Projection Color/Material Gradient Tool -- create color/material gradients on projections!
- Projection Multi-Grid Selector -- Select which grid to display from a multi-grid blueprint.
- Projection Layer Tool -- Display individual or cumulative layers of a projection by x, y or z.
- Projection/Blueprint Builder Tool -- This is mostly to show you how you can build projections by script, edit, and save them as BP'S.
THANK YOU, KEEN!
A huge thank you to Keen Software House for giving Projector+ a spot in the Community Showcase for both the July and August issue of 2026! I genuinely appreciate the support.
And thank you to everyone who tests the mod, reports an issue, shares an idea or uses it in general lol
IMPORTANT!!!
- Only local blueprints are supported, so just take your cloud ones and re-save them.
- In multiplayer, blueprints called from scripts come from the host or server's local blueprint library.
- Blueprint saving is disabled by default. When enabled, saves go to the host/server's local blueprint library. Only enable it for scripts and users you trust, to avoid unwanted files.
- Instant Welding through BuildAt is disabled by default but is awesome and should be experimented with.
