Welcome fellow engineers to the RCSP - ESSEX! This is a NO MODS interplanetary double runway Helicarrier that is designed for planetary invasions or reinforcments in any battle! I made the essex a year ago (based off of an old lego creation of mine) hoping that one day there would be planets, now that they're here I have retrofit my old version to be functional in SE!
The Essex Includes:
1. Two Hangars with 1x RCSP - Raven and 1x RCSP - Swift 2. Multidirectional runway landing lights to signal incoming or outgoing ships 3. Interior auto-opening sliding doors 4. All types of thrusters (Ion, Hydrogen, Atmospheric) to enter and exit a planets atmosphere 5. LCDs with information Relevent to the area (Special Thanks to MMaster for the amazing Configurable Automatic LCDs script found here: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=403921671 ) 6. Four Jump Drives to escape the enemy! 7. Missile and Gatling turrets for defense... and if anything still stands in your way there are 4 Rocket launchers aimed forwards to take out any who defy you! 8. Six reactors (Can be turned on but The Essex can run on batteries and solar alone, Use to recharge batteries) 9. Red Alert mode incase all is lost! 10. NO MODS so you can paste it on any server or world!
Tips to fly the ship:
To enter a planets atmosphere: fly towards a planet SO SIMPLE!!! then at 4000 m level out with the planets gravity and activate hydrogen and atmospheric thrusters, once you stop moving deactivate the hydrogen thrusters to save fuel.
To Exit a planets atmosphere: Level ship with planets gravity, activate hydrogen thrusters and hold space to accend. Once you reach 8000-9000m atmospheric thrusters start to lose their effectiveness so activate Ion thrusters to keep rising.
WARNING: when entering or leaving the atmosphere land the small ships on the hanger floor and not the connectors due to them disconnecting when leaving an atmosphere.
I had fun retrofitting this and I hope you have fun destroying and invading many bases! have fun!
