Jetpack and the entire engineer suit in Vanilal Space Engineers is hugely overpowered, completely taking away the challenge of survival. This mod aims to fix that - without making it too annoying. As in: jetpack still works and you can use it on planets, but it's very limited.
This mod changes has jetpack behaves in planetary gravity - as well as reduces most survival related stats of the engineer.
- jetpack fuel and thrust reduced - jetpack drains fuel faster than bottles can refill it - oxygen consumption increased - character movement speed decreased - bottle volume increased (so you can carry less, optimized for 5x character inventory) - planetary dampening booster script
Planetary dampener script allows for limited flight in planetary gravity. Essentially reduces the effects of gravity that act on you - allowing you to take flight even with nerfed thrust - while at the same time not allowing for crazy acceleration.
Recommended settings:
grinding multiplier - 1x welding multiplier - 1x character inventory size - 5x
It's a good alternative for "no jetpack" challenges. Lets you use jetpack sometimes, but only for short flights. And in space - jetpack thrust is also weakened, kinda acts like real life rcs thrusters.
