The Fornax Class of Guided Missile Destroyers was conceived upon the arising need for the Navy to update its fleet aganist potential threats that have recently acquired missile technology.
Forming the backbone of a modernized Royal Space Navy, the Fornax is armed with 2 DSM 25/9 CIWS, 28 general purporse turrets and 12 AM.39 missiles, divided among a vertical system (VLS) and a horizontal one (HLS).
The ship has a good flight envelope, with decent acceleration (16.4 ms/2) and exceptional maneuverability.
! WARNING !
To avoid accidents with missile launch procedures, it is recommended to not use VLS or HLS while peforming any kind of manouever.
