The SG-23 "Python" Gunship design sought to upgrade the S-22 "Mosquito" Scout Copter into a fully-fledged attack gunship. The body was elongated, the fixed guns moved to the pylons to make room for an autocannon turret, and a second cockpit was added to accommodate a gunner. It struck a balance between firepower and maneuverability, though as with all aircraft following this design, the engines proved to be a significant weakness.
