The TR-77 Utility replaces the troop compartment with a universal coupling system, transforming the vehicle into a versatile towing and support platform. The space freed by removing the troop compartment is instead used for additional fuel and component storage, giving the Utility variant greater logistical endurance than the standard TR-77.
The vehicle retains the same autocannon armament, including its autoloader, as the base model but does not receive the additional UCP armor. Its universal coupling system allows it to tow a wide range of trailers and equipment, including field guns, missile systems, generators, and other specialized loads. This makes the TR-77 Utility a flexible platform for logistics, support, and improvised field operations.
Like the standard model, the Utility variant is designed around ruggedness, low production cost, and ease of maintenance. Its simple construction allows Terran Republic workshops to manufacture and service it with limited infrastructure, making it especially valuable in remote regions and during prolonged campaigns.
