V.M.E Sveinn D4H Mining Vessel [PAM]

The Sveinn D4H is a hydrogen-driven industrial vessel for asteroid-mining. While older V.M.E Miners come with a more specialized outfit, the SVEINN incorporates new developments in fuel-storage to be operated with hydrogen-thrusters only, therefore requiring just a portion of the Gullinbursti-series' powersupply. Needing neither uranium to power reactors, nor massive ammounts of specialized resources for thrusters, the SVEINN D4 is cheap to produce and maintain, making it an archivable vessel for young colonies with limited access to exotic material.

Outfitted with four drills and three medium cargo containers, the SVEINN can carry a decent amount of ore, while maintaining significant speed and maneuverability, even under full load. A hydrogen-engine and an o2/h2-generator enable the vessel to produce power and fuel on iths own, as long as a source of ice is available.

The drills are set up in a cone, which gives the SVEINN additional space when digging tunnels. This makes it easier for the vessel to move around and lowers the risk of collision-damage. However, this requires its home-base to provide an elevated connector to dock the vessel.

The SVEINN can be refitted to operate under the influence of a planets atmosphere and gravity! To do this, the bottom cargo-container has to be removed and replaced by a large hadrogen thruster.
