🎧 What Is It? 🔊
BiomeBeats plays YOUR music instead of Palworld's own.
Drop an MP3 into music\Desert\ and it plays in the desert. That's the whole mod. Everything past that is optional depth.
I did try other mods but kept asking: what about bosses? General combat? My base? Towns? If you asked the same, this mod is for you.
It reacts the way real game music does - exploration music per area, combat interrupts, boss themes, dungeons, towns, your base, day and night - all driven by the game's own event system rather than guessed from map coordinates.

⚠️ Before You Start
- Expect some jank. Pausing, resuming, fast travel, region detection, bosses, crossfades, combat interrupts, ambience, dungeons, ocean and World Tree zones, track history - a hell of a lot of moving parts held together with duct tape and hope. If something breaks, try to repeat it and post the steps. Steps I can reproduce are steps I can fix. Stale regions especially: timing can slip past the guards and play the wrong music, most noticeably late game on ridiculously fast Pals.
- Built for single player. Most detection is filtered to your own character now, so co-op should mostly be fine, but a few boss and state events still aren't player-specific - a friend's boss fight might flip your music.
- Region dead zones exist. Palworld doesn't name every patch of ground, so the previous region's music can hang on until you cross into a named area. Ocean and World Tree needed hand-mapped coordinate zones for exactly this reason. Palworld's own regions are clumsy - there's a region map download on Nexus if you want to see the zones.
- Be kind. I've not tested everything. I'm still early in the game on a test save, avoiding spoilers, so there will be situations I haven't hit yet.

✨ Features
- Region-aware exploration music, shuffled per area, with settle timers and a random entry delay so a new track never feels like flipping a switch
- Combat interrupt with exact-position resume - the region track picks up where it stopped, not from the beginning
- Boss music for towers, legendaries, raid bosses, Panthalus and Astralym, with vanilla battle BGM cleanly silenced for the fight
- Dedicated dungeon, Sealed Realm, town, base and Wildlife Sanctuary music
- Crossfades throughout, and optional night variants for any folder
- An independent ambience layer that combat never interrupts
- Automatic loudness normalization, so quiet and loud tracks don't jump in volume
- On-screen "now playing" card and title-screen logo - both switchable
- MP3, OGG, WAV and FLAC

🔧 Installation
Requires UE4SS (Okaetsu experimental-palworld build) - subscribe to it alongside this mod and let the game install both. Never combine a Workshop UE4SS with a manual UE4SS install - double-loading crashes the game. No mods.txt editing needed; the included enabled.txt is the activation switch on this build.
Then drop your music into the family folders in BiomeBeats\music\, or grab the pack below.

🎵📁 Want Music? Grab The Pack.
This Workshop item is the mod only - the folder structure and no audio.
The music pack is 120+ AI-generated tracks (suno.com), roughly 600MB, covering biomes day and night, combat tiers, boss and tower battles, towns, bases, ocean and dungeons. Using workshop for a download that size is a bit extreme, so it lives on Nexus:
👉 Download the music pack (Nexus, Files tab)
No Nexus account needed. Extract and merge its music folder over the mod's - names line up exactly, and it merges with anything you've already added. It's the pack I play with day to day. Not every region has its own track, so expect some areas to play their family theme; that's the fallback working as intended.

🎧 Your Music Goes Here
Loose audio files dropped into a folder ARE that folder's music. No config, no naming rules. The mod always plays the most specific folder that has music in it, and falls back upward when one is empty.
- Family - the biome type (Grass, Forest, Desert, Sakura...). Broad theme for a whole kind of area.
- Region - a specific place inside a family, e.g. Golden Hills inside Grass. More specific, so it wins.
- night\ - night version of any Family or Region. No night music of its own? It borrows the family's before falling back to its own day music.
- State folders - combat\, dungeon\ and ambience\ inside a family, plus global Combat / Dungeons / Bosses / Towns / Bases as catch-alls.
Two rules: an empty folder falls back (region to family, family to vanilla), and combat\ and dungeon\ only go at the Family level - one inside a region is never read. night\ and ambience\ can go all the way down.
music/
Grass/ <- FAMILY: default Grass music (day)
night/ <- Grass music at night
combat/ <- fighting anywhere in Grass
dungeon/ <- dungeons entered from Grass
ambience/ <- atmosphere bed (has its own night/)
Golden Hills/ <- REGION: just this area (has night/, ambience/)
Forest/ ... one folder per family, same layout
Combat/ Dungeons/ Bosses/ Towns/ Bases/ Ocean/
Sealed Realms/ Wildlife Sanctuaries/ Overworld Caves/
World Tree/ TitleScreen/
Simplest possible setup: drop ONE track into music/Grass/ and it plays across every grassland region. Done.
