MULTIPLAYER

SERVER + CLIENT MOD — install on the host/server AND every player LINUX DEDICATED SERVERS: NOT SUPPORTED. This mod changes game data through PalSchema, a Windows-only UE4SS DLL. Use a Windows host, or the Windows server under Wine/Proton.

Mod not updating?

If a new version does nothing, the mod loader has not reinstalled it: it trusts its own install record instead of checking the disk, so the mod looks active in the mod list and does nothing. Close the game, open Steam → right-click Palworld → Manage → Browse local files, delete the loader's install record for this mod and start the game — it will reinstall it from scratch:

  • Mods\ManagedMods\GutenOneMaterialCrafting

If it still does not come back, unsubscribe and resubscribe with the game closed — a fresh download always makes the loader reinstall. PalSchema itself has the same problem: staying subscribed does not reliably keep it up to date, and an old copy makes its mods do nothing without any error. If this mod stops working, unsubscribe from PalSchema, resubscribe with the game closed, and check the version it reports.

Every recipe costs one of each ingredient. Not free — just not a grind. A Legendary rifle that wanted 200 ingots now wants one of each thing on its list, and it finishes in about a fifth of a second.

Pick one, not both

  • One Material Crafting ← this one. Recipes still charge you, one of each.
  • Crafting Creative Mode — recipes cost nothing at all.

They rewrite the same recipe table, so with both installed whichever loads last silently decides what you pay. Install one.

How it works

  • Every ingredient count in the game's recipe table is set to 1 — weapons, armour, spheres, ammo, food, medicine, cakes and refined materials included.
  • Work is flattened to a fixed value, so even a Primitive Workbench finishes instantly.
  • You still have to have the ingredients. A recipe you cannot afford stays greyed out, so gathering, refining and production lines all still matter — they just stop being a grind. That is the whole point of this one over the free version.
  • Ingredients a recipe does not use are left alone: nothing asks you for a material that is not on its list.
  • Works on existing worlds. Nothing is written to your save.

What it does not do

  • It does not unlock technology: a recipe you have not researched still needs unlocking.
  • It does not change what a recipe produces, or how much of it.
  • It does not touch building costs — that is a different table.
  • Crafting experience is left at vanilla values, so cheap fast crafting levels you up fast. That is a side effect of leaving the game's own numbers alone.

Heads up

Pals on production lines use the same recipes, so a base will keep producing on a trickle of input.

Uninstalling

Safe at any time: recipe costs are read when you craft, so removing the mod just puts vanilla prices back. Everything you already made is unaffected.

More recommended mods

  • Auto Unlock Tech - a one-ingredient recipe is still a recipe you have to unlock first, and this hands it over
  • One Material Construction - the two halves of the same price: what you put up, and what you make
  • Ranch Ascension - one of each ingredient is a price a ranch can pay: passive drops become an actual production line instead of a trickle
