Off My Back

Hide the backpack and the weapons hanging off your back.

The problem

Palworld puts things on your back that you cannot actually take off.

The backpack is part of the armor's appearance. If the armor has one, you wear it. If it does not, you do not. There is no separate backpack slot to turn it off.

Weapons are similar. The equipment in weapon slots 1 and 2 is attached to your back whenever you are not using it.

Some people probably like this.

The fix

Off My Back hides them.

The backpack and back-carried weapons are separate options, so you can hide either one or both.

Nothing is unequipped. Nothing is removed from your inventory. The weapon still appears normally when you actually use it.

Gliders are left alone.

Settings

With Mod Options Framework, both options can be changed in-game, independently and in real time.

Hide Backpack

Hides the backpack attached to supported armor.

Hide Back Weapons

Hides weapons carried on your back when they are not in use.

Both are enabled by default.

Mod Options Framework is optional. Without it, the default settings are used.

Backpacks

The mod works with the backpack appearance used by the supported vanilla armor.

If an armor has no backpack to begin with, nothing happens to it.

Mod-added armor is not supported.

Notes

This is a cosmetic mod. It does not change armor, weapons, stats, inventory or save data.

The back weapons are hidden when they are carried on your back, not when they are actually equipped for use.

Gliders are intentionally not included.

Tested in singleplayer.

If nothing happens

Restart the game first — mods are only loaded at startup, so installing while it is running does nothing for that session.

If the weapons are still visible, check that the mod is loaded by searching UE4SS.log for lines beginning with [noparse][OffMyBack][/noparse].

If the backpack takes a moment to disappear after changing armor, give it a few seconds. The armor appearance is checked periodically rather than scanning the whole world.
