About Ambient Music
From mod.ioQuiet background music while you push between objectives in co-op Checkpoint. It fades out when a counter-attack starts so the game's own counter-attack music plays, then comes back afterwards. Uses only the game's built-in music.
Ambient Music
A dark electronic soundtrack for co-op Checkpoint that reacts to the fight around you.
Low, tense ambience while you push between objectives. When the shooting starts, it builds. When things calm down, it settles back.
New in 2.2: new soundtrack, different every map
- 9 new tracks: dark ambient, cyberpunk and synthwave, with a special-ops feel.
- Three separate music pools: calm, medium and intense each have their own tracks.
- Random every time: each map and each life starts on a random track, and the same song never plays twice in a row.
- Calm music is a little louder than before.
Combat-reactive music
- Calm – little or no gunfire nearby: slow, dark ambient tracks.
- Medium – a few shots nearby: crossfades into a darker, driving groove.
- Intense – heavy gunfire, being shot at, suppressed or hit: crossfades into hard synthwave and techno.
Levels rise the moment a fight starts and only step back down after it has stayed quiet for a while, so the music never flips back and forth. Every change is a smooth 4-second crossfade.
How it plays
- Starts shortly after you spawn and plays only while you are alive and the round is running.
- Fades out when a counter-attack begins so the game's own counter-attack music takes over, then returns afterwards.
- Mutes while menus such as the loadout screen are open.
- Follows your in-game Music volume slider.
- Each player hears their own music, based on the combat around them.
